Matrix Applied Technologies seals have provided tank emissions control for decades. Choose what others in the industry have trusted. A partner to correctly design the internal floating roof seal and choose compatible materials, and products that are proven and meet the strictest of air quality regulations. Find out more about our seals here.
Our floating roof seals are available with galvanized or stainless steel metal parts. Commonly used vapor barrier fabrics are polyurethane, PTFE, and Neoprene.
SS2 is the most popular Shoe Seal type, installed worldwide. Learn more here.
Flex-A-Span provides an industry-leading seal and lifespan utilizing coil springs and spring-loaded hangers. Our design meets SCAQMD and SDAPCD standards along with other strict air quality guidelines. Learn more about our 50+ year solution here.
SS1 and SS5 are bolt-on counterweight Shoe Seals. SS1 is to seal nominal 200mm rim space. SS5 is to seal nominal 300mm rim space.
SS3 includes wax scrapers at the bottom of the shoe and is suitable for waxy crude service.
Secondary floating roof seals provide additional sealing efficiency, protection from contamination from weather or particles, and extend the life of the primary seal. All our secondary seals can be installed or removed, while the tank is in service. Learn more about our API compliant secondary seals here.
Flex-A-Seal utilizes a patented tip design to reduce contamination and features up to 89% watershed control. Additionally, the seal features individually mounted compression plates that allow each to conform to the contours of the tank shell. Learn more about the custom design here.
RollerSeals are designed to give secondary sealing for all floating roof applications. A significant feature of the Matrix RollerSeal is the special synthetic roller assembly, which only contacts the shell when the rim space is larger than nominal. These are ideal for old out-of-round tanks to eliminate seal rollover. Learn more about our RollerSeals here.
Wiper Seals are elastomeric and are designed to provide sealing for all floating roof applications. Wiper seals are vapor mounted and have a large contact depth with the tank shell. We offer these in single or double seals.
Low Profile Secondary Seals are used to minimize working height. Matrix’s low profile seals are available to suit up to a nominal rim space of 10″ (250mm).
